Social Tenants Access to Information Requirements (STAIRs)

Social Tenants Access to Information Requirements (STAIRs)

STAIRs were introduced by the Government to help you find clear, helpful information about how your home and services are managed. This includes things like how we make decisions, spend money and look after your home, and how we’re performing in areas such as complaints and customer satisfaction.

In the past, we shared some of this information through our reports and website. We welcome STAIRs as an opportunity to be even more transparent and will be working closely with our involved customers to understand what information is most useful and how we can make it simple and easy to access.

Here, you’ll find our publication scheme which brings all the information together under six key headings, so you can quickly find what you need.

We’ll review this regularly to ensure it remains up-to-date, relevant and accessible. If you would like to request this information in another format, please do get in touch by emailing stairs@onward.co.uk or calling 0300 555 0600.

Governance and decision making

Our corporate plan, The Onward Difference, sets the direction for our organisation. It explains what we want to achieve, how we will improve services, and how we will invest in homes and communities.

Our Board and Executive Team use this plan to guide how decisions are made and to make sure our work stays focused on the things that matter most to customers. Customer feedback, involvement and consultation also play an important role in shaping services and influencing future decisions.

We share updates on our progress through reports, research, newsletters and other publications, so you can see how decisions are made, how customer views have been considered, and what this means for your home and services.

You can find more information on the following pages of our website.

  • Customer voice (how we’ll work with customers to shape services and decisions)
  • How we’re governed (our governance arrangements, Board and Committee structure and declaration of interests)
  • Policies (how we manage your homes and services)
  • Newsletters (customer consultations, engagement activities and the impact customer feedback has on services and decision-making)
