Help to shape the future of Onward by joining our Customer Committee

Every one of our customers’ voices matters and we’re committed to listening, learning, acting, and most importantly, explaining what has changed as a result your views and lived experiences.  

Our Customer Committee, a group that helps guide how we run our services and make improvements, play a key role and we’re looking for customers to join. 

This role will give you the chance to: 

  • Share your views and experiences 
  • Help improve things like repairs, maintenance, building safety and services 
  • Make sure customers’ voices are heard at the highest level  

You don’t need any previous experience. What matters is your lived experience as a customer and your willingness to speak up, join in, and help to make things change for the better! 

Why get involved? 

By joining our Customer Committee, you’ll have an opportunity to make a real difference for your fellow customers, learn new skills and build confidence, and be part of a friendly and supportive team.

You’ll also get £10,000 per year plus the costs to cover reasonable expenses, such as childcare, carer support or accessibility-related costs. 

What’s involved? 

You’ll serve a three-year term and attend around four meetings a year with some preparation time also needed to review documents. 

We’ll support you every step of the way with training, a mentor, and all the tools you need.
