Onward Repairs to deliver gas service in Merseyside
Over the past few years, Onward Homes has been bringing more and more services in-house, so that we can have greater control over the repairs and maintenance service being delivered in our neighbourhoods, which is helping us to improve our offering to customers.
In April 2024, Onward Repairs expanded from Lancashire into Greater Manchester and Cheshire East, bringing our repairs service in-house across the region. Later that year, Onward Repairs also took on gas servicing and repairs in the same region, leading to better performance and higher levels of customer satisfaction.
The next stage in this journey will see Onward Repairs take charge of all gas repairs across Merseyside, when our contract with PH Jones comes to an end on 1st April. We are working closely with PH Jones and other partners to make sure that our customers experience an uninterrupted service.
While we continue to grow our gas team, local contractor Rothwells Plumbing Services will assist Onward Repairs with gas servicing jobs in the short term. Rothwells will be named on any appointment letters you receive from Onward, and as ever, we encourage you to check the I.D. badge of anyone trying to enter your home.
In advance of the full handover, Onward Repairs will take over emergency and urgent gas repairs from 24th March, but we do not expect any interruption in service. Please continue to report any new repairs for gas boilers in the same way by:

- Calling our Customer Services Team on 0300 555 0600
- Contacting us via WhatsApp on 07418 344603.
Remember: If you already have a gas service or repair booked, this will go ahead as scheduled and you don’t need to do contact us to rearrange it.
