Take part in the Great British Spring Clean
Calling all litter heroes! We’re encouraging residents in our neighbourhoods to come together between March 22 and April 23 to participate in the Great British Spring Clean.
Wherever you live, you and other members of your community can make a real difference by sparing just a few hours to collect plastic, cans and general litter and dispose of it safely, helping to keep our streets looking spotless.
Onward will be hosting a number of clean-up events in our neighbourhoods across the North West. Find your nearest one and get involved.
Great British Spring Clean events near you
Westwood, Oldham
Thursday 11 April, 1pm to 4pm
Around Gresham Drive and Washington Street.
Skips will be available in Washington Street (on the grassy area) and Grisham Drive (on the carpark).
Equipment provided.
Surma Close, Oldham
Thursday 11 April, 1pm to 4pm
Skips will be available outside no. 11 Surma Close.
Equipment provided.
Hattersley & Mottram, Tameside
Thursday 4 April & Monday 15 April
Areas will include:
- The shops on John Kennedy Road
- Stringer Avenue & Chain Bar Lane
- Broadbent Grove
- Clough End Road, Bunkers Hill & Valley Road
- Green Space off Clough End Road – opposite deer Wood Vale
- Melandra Crescent, Bardsley Close, Kenworthy Close
- Top of Hattersley Rd East (opposite St Barnabas), Top of Fields Farm, Tavistock Close and back of Pinfold School
