Health Walks

Walkers meet at the Centre every Thursday at 10am. All walks are free and there is no need to pre-book.  One of our Mentors will lead the group on a local walk.  This provides the opportunity to build some physical activity into your day, enjoy your local surroundings and have a chat.  Afterwards, we return to the Centre for a well-earned cuppa!

Roots Gardening Project

Learn how to grow your own fruit and vegetables and have a chat as you do! Our green-fingered group work on the raised beds and area around the May Logan Centre, in The North Park and at a local allotment. The weekly gardening group is open to all adults and taking part is free with no need to book. Simply come and meet us at the Centre on Wednesdays at 1.30pm. Any produce that is grown is shared out amongst the group and also used in our community café.

Companions

This older persons group is held every other Thursday between 2pm and 4pm. It is a joint venture between the May Logan Centre and Age Concern, aiming to tackle loneliness in later life.  There is no charge to join the group who meet in The Apple Tree Café with different activities on offer during each session. Tea and refreshments are provided.  If you would like more information, please contact the Centre on 0151 922 8588.
