Hattersley & Mottram Career and Community Fair
Onward Homes has joined forces with local businesses and providers to bring a career and community fair to Hattersley.
The special event will provide information on full and part-time work, training and employment opportunities in Tameside.
The fair is free to attend, and jobseekers can meet with local employers and find out about live vacancies on offer, and can get help with their CV, digital job searches and interview techniques.
Organised by Onward Homes, representatives will include; Juniper training, Action Together, Jigsaw, Positive Steps, Fortem, the NHS, and environmental maintenance specialists, Groundworks.
Local voluntary and community groups will also be in attendance with information on how to get involved, and Onward will be running interactive workshops on health and wellbeing.
Sam Powers, Social Investment Specialist and co-ordinator of the event, said: ‘We’ve got some great employers lined up, so whether you’re looking for work, training opportunities or to boost your career there’s something for everyone!’
The fair will take place on Tuesday 1st October at the Hub off Stockport Road, Hattersley, Sk14 6AF between 12.00 – 4.30pm (parking is free at Tesco). If you would like further information call Sam on 0161 366 3978.
