Changes to our repairs service in Greater Manchester and Cheshire East
From the beginning of April, we’re making some exciting changes to deliver an improved repairs service for our customers in Greater Manchester and Cheshire East, and to increase the presence of Onward colleagues across our neighbourhoods.
In April, repairs will transfer completely from our external contractor, Fortem, to Onward Repairs, our in-house repairs team. Onward Repairs has successfully carried out repairs for customers in Lancashire since 2019 and this expansion is the latest step in its growth journey.
You will soon be seeing our fleet of pink Onward Repairs vans out and about in our Greater Manchester and Cheshire East neighbourhoods. All our new operatives will be wearing Onward Repairs uniforms and will always carry Onward identification with them.
Gas servicing in Greater Manchester will still be carried out by Liberty and more complex repairs that require an inspection will continue to be completed by specialist contractors.
We have carefully planned this changeover to limit any disruption to your repairs service. As we are currently experiencing higher levels of demand, however, some non-emergency repairs may take longer than usual, but we will aim to complete these as quickly as possible.
Remember if you have already reported a repair, you don’t need to do anything as this will now be delivered by Onward Repairs.
