An update on rent and service charges

From April 2024, rents for most of our customers will increase by 7.7%. This is in line with the Government Rent Standard which allows for rent increases of inflation, plus 1%.

Rents enable us to maintain an income to invest in homes, neighbourhoods, and services. Before the changes to rents come into effect, we’ve pulled together some Frequently Asked Questions to explain the changes and what happens next. These can be viewed by clicking below.

Some of our customers also pay a service charge, which cover additional services they receive like scheme managers or grounds maintenance. Those customers will see changes in their service charges from the beginning of April. Customers only pay for the service charges they get and a full breakdown will be shared with you. More information about service charges can be found by clicking below.

We understand that the cost of living continues to be a challenge for many and will apply a service charge cap for our general let and housing for older people customers to protect those facing the potential for highest charges.
