I’m viewing a mutual exchange home; do you have any advice?
There are three things to consider when viewing your potential new home:
- Time – try to visit during daylight hours, allowing plenty of time to travel and find the home. It’s important that you feel relaxed instead of rushed.
- Conditions – visualise places for your furniture, look at the storage space available and don’t be afraid to ask questions. It’s also important to check the condition of the home and look out for any potential issues, as you may be responsible for these if you decide to move.
- Location – have a look around the area and check where key things like shops and schools are located. Consider how far you’ll be from family and friends.
